Urology Fellow – RACS SET6 |

Fellow in Laparoscopic / Advanced Uro Oncology and Robotic Surgery Macquarie University Hospital & Australian School of Advanced Medicine - the first school of its kind to offer sub-specialty, advanced training in a private teaching hospital on a university campus. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and registered medical practitioners for the above 12 month position to commence in January 2012 at Macquarie University Private Hospital. Macquarie University is located in Ryde, 30minutes North-West from Sydney CBD. The successful applicant will be enrolled at Macquarie University in a Masters Degree program and employed at Macquarie University Hospital as a Scholar (Fellow) in Uro-Oncology. The Masters Degree is supported by a JJ scholarship to assist the applicants tuition fees.

Urology Unit, Nepean Hospital in Penrith Applications are welcome from suitable Urology Trainees or current Fellows in Australia and New Zealand for a fellowship position at the Nepean Hospital in Penrith for 12 months starting January each year. This is a strong general Urology post with particular emphasis on laparoscopic uro-oncology and complex stone management. |

Hunter New England Area Health Service, Newcastle Fellowship in Uro-Oncology: Temporary Full Time for 12 months This role was proposed by the Urology department to build succession planning into the medical workforce. The opportunity may exist for the successful candidate to progress to a consultant position at the end of the Fellowship. Additionally, it is expected that the appointment will also provide assistance in maintenance of the transplant service. |

Access to ESWL lists, and hospital has a 100 watt Holmium laser for lithotripsy and enucleation laser prostatectomy. In addition, the Department of Surgery of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital also offers a post graduate degree course, namely a Masters Degree in Minimally Invasive Surgery from The University of Adelaide, which can be completed concurrently within the SET 6 position (course fees apply). |
