Logbook

All trainees are expected to maintain a surgical logbook and must provide a logbook summary to their supervisor each quarter when the in-training assessment report is being completed. This logbook summary must also be submitted to the Section TA&E Chair with the in-training assessment report.

Trainees are required to use the Morbidity Audit and Logbook Tool (MALT) to record operative exposure. MALT can be accessed via the RACS website www.surgeons.org.
