Survey: Rapid Evaluation with SCrotal Ultrasound Prior to Exploration (RESCUE) Study

British Urology Researchers in Surgical Training are conducting a study on Rapid Evaluation with Scrotal Ultrasound Prior to Exploration (RESCUE).

The RESCUE Study will assess the diagnostic accuracy of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in patients with suspected testicular torsion.

To support this project, please complete the survey and provide a retrospective number of scrotal explorations that have taken place in your hospital.

The data collection form is available online.

The data collection is short and won't take more than a few minutes to complete once you have access to the necessary data.

Data required:

  1. Contact details
  2. Name of hospital
  3. Data collection date range (12 months is the preferred duration)
  4. Number of scrotal explorations
  5. Frequency of middle grade on call e.g. 1 in 6
  6. Patient age range served by your centre

The final date for data entry is Sunday 9 July 2023.

If you have any questions, please contact the RESCUE team and Arjun Nathan via email.
