Celebrating USANZ Members

Helen O'Connell

USANZ President, Prof Helen O'Connell, featured on ABC's 7:30 Report in a segment about the clitoris. The segment recognised Prof O'Connell's efforts to overcome substantial deficits in medical knowledge about female anatomy. She led the first comprehensive anatomical study on the clitoris in 1998, and examined it further under MRI in 2005.

The 7:30 Report focused on the work of the 'International Cliteratti', a group that comprises of Prof O'Connell alongside occupational therapist Anita Brown-Major and medical anthropologist Dr Suzanne Belton.

Matthew Roberts

The USANZ Board of Directors recently advertised an opportunity to be the USANZ representative for the 2024 Korean Urological Association Annual Meeting. The successful applicant was A/Prof Matthew Roberts, who will speak about the management of advanced metastatic prostate cancer. USANZ warmly congratulates Dr Roberts on this position! We wish him the best for his time in Seoul, and look forward to hearing about his experiences when he returns.
