USANZ in the Media
It has been another busy week for USANZ in the media, covering a range of Urological issues. It's great to see our Members lending their expert voices to these important public discussions.
Bladder Cancer
This week, USANZ released a media release about new treatment options for bladder cancer. This release featured commentary by Weranja Ranasinghe, USANZ Genitourinary (GU) Oncology Special Advisory Group Leader, who spoke about the value of combining two affordable chemotherapy drugs.
The Age covered the story on pages 2-3. In addition, the article was syndicated to Sydney Morning Herald, reaching on audience of over 5 million.

Prostate Cancer
Media coverage about prostate cancer has continued following recent news of diagnoses for Joe Biden, Barnaby Joyce, Feargal Sharkey and others.
This week, The Australian interviewed USANZ Member Jeremy Grummet about Biden's diagnosis as part of an explainer article about prostate cancer. The article references the consultation period for the draft Guidelines for Early Detection of Prostate Cancer.
